Know Your Children’s People

It is extremely beneficial for parents to get to know the coaches, teachers, and supervisors that their child is working with. Building relationships with these individuals encourages open communication, helps parents align their efforts with the school's goals, encourages a child's participation in extracurricular activities, keeps parents up to date on school events and rules, and sends a powerful message of support to the child. All of these benefits are provided by the school. When parents get actively involved in their children's educational experiences, they construct a solid support structure that enhances their child's capacity for learning.
