Education and Experience:
I hold a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Scranton and I am a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania and California. Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings including in-patient alcohol and chemical dependency treatment and private practice. This diverse experience has allowed me to work with individuals from different backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns.
Hi, I'm Bill. I'm a caring and experienced therapist with 17 years of helping people, couples, and families with emotional and mental issues. I specialize in challenges like addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and low self-esteem. I know that today's issues can be complex, and I'm here to help you find a brighter, happier future.
Addiction, whether it involves alcohol and/or drug abuse or encompasses addictive behaviors such as gambling or pornography, can be incredibly complicated and significantly impact every part of a person's life. It not only alters physical well-being but also affects emotional health, relationships with loved ones, and overall quality of life. Understanding the complexities of addiction is essential for helping individuals and families navigate this challenging journey.
Loss and grief are completely normal parts of life that everyone experiences at some point, but they can be incredibly hard to navigate and can cause significant feelings of sadness, along with substantial changes in your daily life and routine.
Anxiety and sadness can truly wreak havoc on a person's life, impacting not only their relationships with loved ones but also their performance at work and overall health in general. These feelings can create a ripple effect, making everyday tasks more difficult to manage while diminishing one's joy and sense of fulfillment.
Trauma: experiences from the past can have long-lasting negative effects, including bothersome flashbacks, feelings of anxiety, and a state of hyper-vigilance that can make everyday life feel overwhelming.
Relationship problems such as trust concerns, miscommunications, and personal conflicts can all be incredibly upsetting and challenging for couples to navigate. I can help couples effectively get through these troublesome issues by offering them compassionate guidance and emotional support tailored to their unique situations. With the right tools and understanding, they can rebuild their connection and find joy together again.
If you or someone you know is struggling, I’m here to help individuals, couples, and families improve and grow. Call 442-241-1120 to reach me. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
