Hi, I'm Bill, and I'm a compassionate and experienced therapist who has been dedicated for 17 years to help people, couples, and families deal with a wide range of problems.  Helping people with problems like addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and low self-esteem is what I do best. I know the problems that people face today are different from those in the past, and I want to help them get through them.

  • Addiction: whether it's drug abuse or behavioral habits like gambling or pornography, addiction can be very complicated and affect every part of a person's life.

  • Loss and grief: are normal parts of life, but they can be hard and cause a lot of sadness and big changes in your life.

  • Anxiety and sadness: can really mess up a person's life, affecting their relationships, work, and health in general.

  • Trauma: from the past can have long-lasting negative effects, like flashbacks and hyper-vigilance.

  • Relationship problems: trust concerns, and personal conflicts can all be very upsetting.  I can help couples get through these problems by offering them guidance and emotional support.

Please let me know if you or someone you care about is having a hard time. I want to assist people, couples, and families in getting better and growing. Call 442-241-1120 to get in touch with me. I'm looking forward to connecting with you soon!

Bill McMahon, MS, LPCC

Education and Experience:

I hold a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Scranton and I am a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania and California. Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings including in-patient alcohol and chemical dependency treatment and private practice. This diverse experience has allowed me to work with individuals from different backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns.

People call me Bill and most people think I’m easy going and don’t have a care in the world but that’s far from true. My life didn't go as planned, but I achieved unexpected success.. I’ve had roles of being caregiver to a Mom and two wives (not at the same time!), lost a job, experienced BIG financial difficulties, been a single parent of four daughters and furthered my education so I could re-establish myself later in life. Looking back, I realize that my faith in God helped me stay strong throughout my journey.

"I have been seeing Bill for over a year and a half now and I can positivity say that he has been instrumental in helping me navigate through some of the most challenging issues in my life. The very first session he created a safe and non-judgmental environment where I felt comfortable opening up about my deepest fears and insecurities.
